Mitchell J. Hoffman has more than 20 years experience in insurance defense, commercial, civil and general litigation, corporate and business law, and family law. He has significant experience representing insurance carriers and their insureds in a wide range of litigated matters, including commercial and casualty litigation, premises liability, property damage, general liability, employment law, contract disputes, and tort actions, having handled countless matters in virtually every context in which such cases have been brought. Additionally, he provides business advice to corporate and commercial clients on formation and planning issues, mergers and acquisitions, ERISA issues, banking matters, and bankruptcy.
He has extensive experience presenting oral arguments and cases before state and federal courts, mediation and arbitration panels, administrative agencies and boards, and specialized courts and forums.
Mr. Hoffman earned his undergraduate and law degrees at Tulane University, and during law school, served on the board of editors of Tulane Law Review . He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Louisiana and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Hoffman's professional association memberships include the New Orleans, Louisiana State, and American Bar Associations, and the Louisiana Bankers Association. He is a co-managing partner of Lowe, Stein, Hoffman, Allweiss & Hauver, L.L.P.
