ELLEN WIDEN KESSLER
is a Board Certified Family Law Specialist with extensive experience in every aspect of domestic and family law. She represents individuals in prenuptial agreements, divorce actions, child custody and visitation matters, alimony and support, and division of marital property. She works within the traditional bounds of the court system, with mediators, family counselors, and tax and financial consultants to determine a resolution for each individual family situation. She has published an article on the subject of representing the older client in family law matters, and lectures regularly in continuing legal education seminars. Additionally, she is experienced in civil right litigation cases.
Ms. Kessler is recognized as a fellow
in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Louisiana Association of Women Attorneys, and has served on the adjunct faculty at Tulane and Loyola law schools. Ms. Kessler earned her undergraduate degree with honors at Northwestern University and her law degree with honors at the University of Maryland, where she was a member of the law review, moot court board, and National Moot Court team.
