Serena E. Pollack's areas of practice are commercial and casualty litigation, with an emphasis on professional liability and insurance defense. She has tried over a dozen cases to verdict involving medical malpractice, pharmaceutical negligence, nursing and hospital negligence, and general liability and coverage issues. She has also handled the subsequent appeals of these cases. Her article entitled Defending Against Wrongful Birth and Wrongful Life Claims, FOR THE DEFENSE (October 2003), outlines her trial and appellate work on one such case.
Ms. Pollack earned her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Denver College of Law where she was a Research & Technical Editor of the DENVER JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL LAW & POLICY and a National Finalist in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition.
Ms. Pollack is a member of the United Jewish Communities National Young Leadership Cabinet and is actively involved in the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans. In April 2005, THE CHICAGO DAILY LAW BULLETIN profiled Ms. Pollack in an article entitled She's Good at Winning Support for the Cause, profiling her commitment to her clients and her volunteer work within the community.
